Every year, robinson house studio brings our fantastic graduates to exhibit at New Designers, the annual graduate design exhibition held in London. We think this is a fantastic opportunity for students to participate in what may be their first exhibition, and it’s great to be able to chat to the public about your work.

Many influential industry professionals attend the exhibition to seek out new talent, so students are encouraged to bring business cards and treat it as a real networking opportunity to take their career forward.

This year we featured a range of the box projects made by our recent students, including a mini drinks cabinet, a display case, and a game board. We also exhibited some larger pieces from current students as well as recent graduates, including a writing desk, display case, and bedside table.

Many pieces by Marc Fish, Founder, Principal, and in-house designer, were featured in photographs on the walls, to highlight our passion for contemporary, innovative design. Senior Tutor and Vice Principal Theo Cook also featured his complicated dovetail joints, in order to display the emphasis we put on attention to detail in our craftsmanship.

New Designers is an event we look forward to every year, and we are proud to be the only furniture school who strives to provide this opportunity to our students.
